Rural Care Ministries is a non-profit organization formed to help the people of the Guntur District in India.
In this district there are so many poor and under-privileged people, which do not have sufficient food, good clothing and shelter. They live in slums and cannot afford education, health care and medical services.
Many children from these families are forced into child labor and terrible living conditions.
With SNI support Rural Care Ministries built a school for young girls and women in this region. 100 girls from the poorest homes are now students and given vocational and skill training through activities such as tailoring, mobile repairing, welding, etc., with the expertise support from training agencies and resource persons. After the training, the students are placed in various companies, to break the pattern of unemployment, and given a chance at a better life for them and their families.
