Sponsorship Network International has chosen to contribute financially towards the project ‘Sponsor a Book’ for the month of July, 2012. ‘Sponsor a Book’ is a relatively new project that focuses on bringing out the value of education and creating a long term “face-lift” to schools and social centers. This concept has already been implemented in 3 continents, 50 centers, and with over 150,000 children to date!

‘Sponsor a Book’ creates teaching aid boards with colorful and attractive pictures which are put on display in school halls and various locations. Each beautiful picture includes a quote describing life values and therefore investing in the leaders of tomorrow by instilling moral values at a young age. Each child is given a brand new book that focuses on character building. The books include fun stories that teach values and present activity pages that are positively interactive.

Sponsorship Network International’s financial contribution to Sponsor a Book’s latest projects in India, Sierra Leone, and Croatia has gone to cover the following:

  • Purchasing books and motivational materials for schools, old folk’s homes, and psychiatric clinics
  • Transportation of volunteers to and from project sites
  • Room and board for volunteers for the duration of the projects
  • Stationary supplies
  • Administration costs
